Default 99 Civic SI - Transmission Mainshaft Bearing - Replacement

Also posted in Civics. Please forgive if this is the wrong place for this question.

I have to replace the mainshaft bearing on my 99 SI Transmission. My question is: does this transmission come apart easily, i.e. undo the casing bolts, remove the freeze plug type cover and undo the circlip?
Any help or insight with regard to this job will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I wouldn't open a transmission without the service manual. There are too many parts that could be installed incorrectly by mistake, as well as clearances that need to be checked etc. Opening it up is fairly straightforward, but read the manual to see what you're getting into.
