im contemplating if i should buy some cam gears for my 97 lude. I only have some minor bolt ons such as: i/e/p/h. I wanted to get a mod that would be worth getting since i dont have much money to put out right now i was looking around and i noticed that some cam gears werent out of the question.

What do you guys think?

experiences? powergains? etc..

If you go buy cam gears, and get them put on, your going to need to tune them. That's more $$$$$

 

that raises a good question tho. would cam gears do anything much without different cams? i know they control the timing, and we can get 94 octane here which would allow for slightly advanced timing, but what would be the benefits? if anyone knows whether tuning cam gears on minorly modded engine would do any good or not, it would be nice to know so i can do it or quit thinkin bout it.

 

other then reducing parasetic draw there is not a point to get them unless you have cams or nitrous or a built motor that you are trying to tune. You would be better off to get the crank pully and power pully kit if u want a functional mod that looks cool, that and it is less work.
