Reply to STICKY! Ongoing scam......At Top Of This Forum Page
thanks goes out to AllMotorMonsters who created this topic because without him i would have been dooped into losing 3000.00. Heres how it went through emails........
(o and a side note the mispellings are on his emails so i dont know if he doesnt speak english or what.)
First Email: Mon, April 26, 2004

for this i want you to give me your full name and the
address that will be right on the the check.
But i want you to do my a favour is my partner
that will send the check to and he will be sending
the sum of $5,800 you will help me send the remitt to
my shipper so that they can coe for the pick up.
I want you to send the full name and the address
and your telephone number.
I hope to hear from you soon.

***At this point I remembered seeing the thread on Honda-Tech.com about this scam, so i decided to test him by uping the price in the car a couple thousand to see if he still wanted to buy the car......

yea the deal sounds good, but are you sure that you don't want to see the car before you send the check? And you know what....ive decided not too sell the car for less than my original asking price of 5000.oo (Us) But if your still interested than just send the check. And i will send you the shipping money.
His Fourth Email To Me: Wed. May 5, 2004

If you know that you areasking for $5,000 and then
i will ask my partner to send you thesum of $8,000

***Basically in this email he's telling me he will give me the now 5000.00 that i bumped the price up to now!!! Bullsh*t!!! This is when i confirmed that it was a scam for sure.
Conclusion: DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!! and thanks to AllMotorMonsters for posting that scam, you really saved my *** on this one.
