Default 97 accord driverside power window

Hi everyone i am a newbie to this site. I am having a little problem with my 97 honda accord driverside power windows. a while back my switch went and i thought it was my motor so i changede the whole motor, then i changed the switch. for some reason my window is rolling up slow and getting stuck at some points. i hate having to pull on the window to get it up. i called honda and the recomended that i change my motor and switch. i told them i already did. they said since it was so long ago that i had to bring it in and they would charge. i think this would be a easy fix and was wondering if anyone new how to solve this problem of the sticking window. any help would be good.

i have the same problem, i changed out my switch first, changed the fuse, then my motor just took a crap. so then i bought a new one about a month ago. then a month later (last weekend) it starts making some grinding sound and getting stuck like yours. which i pinpointed it to be that the big white gear was slipping off the other screw gear inside, because the little black rubber clutchtype piece was ripped causing the white gear to hop up out of its seating. so i decided to try and find a broken motor to get that black rubber piece out, but none of the junkyards have any around here(only new motors). and stupid me threw away my old motor.
well it turns out the other day it misteriously starts working ok again, its still a little slow but the grinding stopped and it rolls up.

when i get some more money im gonna buy a brand new motor. the one i bought was used but it was in good condition and ran very strong until the gear started slipping. i got it off ebay from some guy for $23 shipped.

use a silicon spray or a lithium grease....dont just use WD40......5th gen accords all have problems w/ the driver side window......my motor was replaced a few years back, and the switch was replaced about 3 months ago

I used to have the same problem on my Civic and I used silicon spray on the tracks and it solved the problem. Also, make sure your window glass is properly lined up on the tracks.
