How many gallons does a Bike usually take in? Same as the car? Just curious....

 

depends on the bike. My f4i takes 4.8 gallons i believe so not even close to a car.

 

i'd guess 3-6 depending on kind of bike. so ya, not close to how much a car holds

 

Damn that aint that much. How many miles you up with 1 gallon?

If you mean how far on 1 gallon, anywhere from 40-50.

 

25-45MPG depends on the bike.

 

mine takes 4 gallons and about 40-45 mpg...it really depends on you bike and how much you ride it or how you ride it

 

Even though my owner's manual says 4.5gallons, the most I've put in there is 3.8 (after flipping to reserve and practically pushing the bike to the gas station). Mileage depends on how hard you ride the bike. I get 40mpg/140mi per tank under normal riding, but last time at the track I had to fill up after 80 miles.

 

180 miles on 4 gallons

 

FJR takes 5.8 per the book but 5.5 max i ever got in it. gets about 40mpg or about 200-220 miles a tank.

the ninja250 gets around 60mpg with me flogging it (which is pretty much what you have to do to go faster than traffic)

exactly. f4i = 4.8

and not even close to a car... i think all civics(some of the smallest & most economical cars out there) are at least 11 gallons....

and i think the best i've got on my f4i is about 145 miles on a full tank .

 

on a similar note, i spent $10.50 putting 5.5gal in the FJR.

first time i ever spent more than ten bucks on gas for a bike

 

damn gas prices have sky rocketed here in GA. I'm so pissed to get gas now. $2/gallon! I remember when i was 16 it used to only take 10bux for a full tank of gas in my civic...used to be like 90cents/gallon....man, first time i've ever in my life seen gas at $2

dude up here in seattle the price for regular is like $2.03 - $2.10...its rediculuos because i put premium in the tank (my gsr and my r6) and thats in like the $2.30 range

 

Up here in WI premium is like $2.25-2.30 a gal. I sux to spend $12.XX to fill my bike them $30.XX to fill my prelude...its reDICKulous

I can hold 44 gallons and get 3.8 miles per gallon

Everyone start running toulene, it's actually cheaper to get 93 r+m/2 from 87 and toulene when 93 hits 2.37. So sad

 

yeah man.. these dam gas prices are starting to suck major ***.

ahh quit crying...in SF its $2.30 for regular 87. Premium is about $2.50-2.60 and still going up. It went up $.22 the last four days

 

My GSX-R600 just hit 165 today before the gas light started to flash. I couldn't believe it. Most I have gotten before was 145.

I did a 130mph run and rode it pretty hard, even though a lot of the miles were on the highway. I still can probably get 175-180 before the gas light goes solid. I dunno, maybe I overfilled the tank cause I topped it off 45 cents.

 

holy crap, you guys have some ridiculous gas prices in cali. Here i am bitching about premium gas at $2/gallon when u guys are paying 50cents more. Jees...i'm just not familiar with the gas station sign reading more than a buck for gas. Its usually $1.60-1.80 for premium here.

 

damn cali is already up to $2.55...DAMN dat sucks

 

Isn't it $2 / Liter in Europe?

 

Here in Colorado it's around 2 dollars per gallon of premium. I was in las vegas last month though and their gas is almost 3 dollars per gallon!!
