I just heard from one of my best friends that I used to work with in South Carolina who has a 5 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. His daughter was just diagnosed with a form of pediatric kidney cancer called WILMS and it is stage IV. My friend and his wife were told she has a 60% chance of pulling through. She is going to have a very rough time of it, she has started the first of 6 weekly doses of chemotherapy to shrink the tumor, then the kidney will be surgically removed and then she'll continue with approximately 4-5 months of chemotherapy and radiation.

Please keep this precious little girl in your prayers. For those of you with children you know how something like this hits home.

Amazing thing with children in situations like this is, they handle it better than any adult around them. Kids are tough.

im sorry to her about her, my dad just passed away from cancer this past september . my prayers are definitly with her and her family.

 

As a father myself, I can imagine what it must be like to faced with such a tragedy. I wish all the best to the family and the little girl...

 

It is always a shock when someone you know and love is affected by cancer. I can only imagine how much more difficult it must be when the one affected is a child. She will be in my prayers along with her family.
