Anyone tried this before?

Basically they are Oz spec recaros from a MY01 wrx.
Im not sure what type of Recaros they are but Heres a pic of them:


I can source some over here in australia for bloody cheap.. but am not sure if the installation costs, brackets etc will be worth it.

Btw..my car is a civic vti-r hatch. B16a powered civic from the factory.

bad news - there is no easy way to install subaru seats in a civic. My friend wanted to purchase my RS seats for his EG but the subaru seat mounts with three bolts into the floor and one bolt into the center console. The rails are usually welded onto the seats in subaru's as well.
what MIGHT be possible would be to drill out the welds and mount the civic rails onto the subaru seats, btu an adapter plate would more than likely need to be fabricated, and you would end up sitting pretty high. Also, subaru seets seem sider than honda seats but i haven't actually measured them.

 

hmm..interesting.
I have measured the dimensions of the wrx seat already and they should be fine, but I noticed that the attachment bolts are in different places. I'll see what the workshops say.
