nitrous on daily driver civic
i've got a 97 civic(non vtec) and was looking into doing some "ricer mods". its already lowered a couple inches with 17s, so now i want to put an exhaust just a cat back, an intake, and a dry shot nitrous kit. what are the limits with 91 pump gas, 50hp? what are the limits with race gas. also can you run a 150 shot with the dry kit, or will i have to upgrade my injectors and fuel pump. if so what should injectors and pump should i get. thanks.
150 shot on a d16 civic??? are you kidding me???
First learn what nitrous is, if you dont know what it is already.
sencond, learn how many shot for stock internal on a civic. 50 shot max or 75 if upgrade fuel management. (Hondata/AEM)
For the answer, 50 shot is perfect for d16, but you have to take care of it good.. Change some timing. SAFC to control fuel if it lean/rich when spraying. Good cold plug which help out alot..
Dont go out and buy a dry kit and dont know how to use it.. You end up blowing your engine and dont know why...My .02 cents
