I'm thinking of buying a lude, found one in good condition, 98 black, manual, 87k, the guy wants 14g.... what do you guys think? Isnt that a tad bit high?

I paid 14k retail (after 2,500 trade-in).
So yeah, talk the guy down because he's asking a lot of money for a car approaching 100k mi.

hell for 14 and that much milege, get it checked out first and if its all good then try and talk him down. geez with all that miles ran up i'd be worried about my tranny

 

10-12 should be the highest for that model and year unless he has rims a system and other add-ons...if its stock then 10-12 is the max...dont fall into it...with the bullshit he'll shpiel out with "oh i did oil changes every month and i got the yadda yadda checked once every 2 months" that doesnt mean anything...Tune him out and see what YOU like...
