i run brackets cause theres only 1 pro event in the NW for imports. i dropped to brackets last yr cause goin heads up against the likes of durst, mohler, sheepers and the others cars runnin low 10s is like shootin myself in the foot. i placed second in the bracket class from a redlight in woodburn in the final round. other than that i placed in 6 out of 13 events i attended last yr.

bracket racing is alot of fun, and a good way to learn how to be consistant...

I love bracket racing. Bracket racing helps you fine tune your reaction time, launching skills, etc. i got really consistent with my CRX before and it was fun being able to know that my cinsistency can beat out the other guy.

I am going to be running brackets when my car together. I am building a full race, and don't have nearly enough power to run heads up, so I plan on running the brackets until I can be competitive.

I'm surprised we've never met- I've been bracket racing since 93 in Nor/So Cali too.

It is very addicting though- but it seems I haven't had any time after getting my Wally back in 2002, since I got a job that prevents me (schedule wise) from doing what I love most

I'm actually going hot rod as crazy as it is getting...
I figure it will either just take me a LONG time, or hopefully they will make a new class I can fit into. Powerade has a bajillion classes, hopefully summit will evolve new classes as the series grows

<----------Bracket PIMP!

jp.
National events are fun to race, get to race a bunch of guys you never raced before. At home I have two season points championships and one season runner up. I have gone to three final rounds in IDRC (and lost) on the last two years and one final round in NHRA (also lost DOH!) in Fontana in March.

ON a side note I think NHRA should have a national bracket series, take the winners of all the local import bracket series and have them have a championship battle at the Pomona event at the end of the year. It would be nice, but prolly wont happen.
