Hey guys, just wanted to give you the heads up, went into Target tonight and they had Mobil 1 for the great price of $2.94 /qt! I grabbed quite a few quarts, go stock up!

DANGIT! Where was this post a few hours ago?! I bought 3 bottles at pep boys at 4.49 each..

Must... stop... by.. target before.... sale..... runs.. .out..

 

Does motor oil have a shelf life or are they as formidable as twinkies? I don't want to stock up too much if it's going to go "bad."

Also is Mobil 1 better than Castrol???

Yes, Mobil 1 is true synthetic....many of us swear by it! After all, it is factory fill in many hi-performance cars, Porsches, Corvettes, Vipers, AMG etc. Castrol Syntec actually has a petroleum base stock to it (I believe that is the correct term)...whether or not Mobil 1 is better than Castrol Syntec is subject to MUCH debate. I for one, switched from it in fact when I heard about it's "dino" roots.

I noticed the other day that the big Jug they sell of Mobil One was cheaper than before, guess I need to jump on that.

 

im currently running mobil one synthetic blend.

Haha, last time I was at Wal-Mart they had the 5 quart jug for $14.xx. Made me pretty happy

Same here. My friend and I went up there ready to clean em out, but they were 4.50 a quart. Stoopid midwest

 

not at my target either...I went to go stock up and they were 4.24/qt and they didn't have the 5 qt bottles at all...

and hell, i'm one state south of him!

Target in Nebraska has it on sale for $3.69 a quart. I bought the limit of 12 quarts. Then I went to O'Reiley's to got my 4 dollar magnetic oil drain plug. Spoon can suck it!

I remember Target used to have Moblil 1 for like $1.99(yes the synthetic ones), but that was a couple years ago. I guess I have to fly out to Atlanta and grab me a few cases of Mobil 1!!

 

I got that deal one time (this summer) when I was in Dallas....it was the Target off of Coit Rd just north of Campbell? or was it Arapaho?

Also, we've seen Valvoline 5W-30 SynPower synthetic at Wal-mart for $10/5 qt jug...hell of a deal. We ended up buying like 10 jugs total at the same time.

 

I go to costco. Seems like a good price. Forgot what it is though....
