Default FS - 2000 R6 (buy it to fund my turbo project...)

http://denniscraig.org/r6

* 14000 miles
* Hyperpro Steering Damper
* Leo Vinci carbon high pipe slip-on (tucks under rear pegs)
* Frame and clutch sliders
* Swingarm spools
* Brand new rear Metzler M1 (will get a new M1 for front)
* Rear fender cleanly cut off (not hacked)
* Rear signals integrated into brakes lights
* Front signals integrated into headlight assembly
* Motor all stock, carbs jetted by High Performance Cycles in Lake City
* Always garaged
* Title on hand
* $4500 obo

I bought this bike brand new in 2000. It's been meticulously maintained by me (I don't trust dealers). Mobil 1 synthetic since 600 miles. It has been down twice in low speed low sides so there are a couple blemishes, but nothing excessive. Stickers have since been removed. Lower and rear cowl have been painted black. Shouldn't need anything but routine maintenance for thousands of miles .

I've ridden it hard, but it's never been raced or abused. Runs perfect. It's a fun and fast bike that handles like a dream. The only reason I'm selling it is because I bought a 2001 Suzuki TL1000R. I had planned on keeping both - but the R6 isn't getting ridden too much these days.

Contact info:

The bike is located in Gainesville, FL

bump

still for sale...

Not interested in shipping out of state. Too much hassle. Had another guy call me from California. I don't get it, do they not have R6's out there? Not being a smartass, just curious.

they do have them in california, but they're more expensive and more emission-strict over their (hence the reason why they have 49-state models and cali models). but if i were to get the bike, id just come pick it up. how far are you from daytona beach?

yeah, the R6 doesn't get ridden since the I got the TLR Vtwin power is awesome. The only thing that got me initially was that it doesn't rev to the moon like the 4's do. It's a tank, but I like that. It just stays planted in corners.
