tonight and tommorrow, i'm gonna replace the blown head gasket on my dohc zc. i've done the whole job before, but i re-used the old head bolts, which were in TERRIBLE shape. 3 were badly corroded. i'm hoping that one just stretched. the headgasket is just leaking a little bit of coolant into a cylinder, not mixing coolant and oil. anyways. i have ARP head studs now, waiting to go into the car when i pull it all apart. the kit for the dohc zc isnt out right now, i called ARP directly. they said, as did Race Engineering, to use the kit for the VW jetta/gold 16valve, so i got that. supposedly the bolt are a bit shorter, and i was told to use loctite when i install them into the block, then torque everythind down when i put the head on. does this sound like a good way to do it? any help is appreciated. thanks very much-adam
well as far as if the ARP kit is the correct one I dunno. But for sure use red loctite and torque in correct order.

i know the kit will work, i'm just wondering if the loctite on the studs (because they cant thread into to block all the way down) is a good idea. should i put lube and loctite on? does that work? i havent used too much loctite. sorry for the long initial post.
well as far as putting lube on my ARP instructions did not specify to do so. Just the loctite from what I remember.
