Ive noticed that I have no idea what these terms means for a while now and probably a lot of others do not know as well.

Just wonderring why people are always talking about it.

Is it better for performance? Tuning?

Why would a person swap from one to the other? How is it done?

Also to switch from one to another you need a conversion harness and a few other things depending on what obd your going to..

Most of what your asking here can be found by searching here on HT.. Alot of people will just ignore your post since its already been answered..

Your actually luck that everyone hasnt started flaming you for asking it.. I just ran across it and figured i'd help you out..

 

obd=on board diagnostics, im not going off any website ill tell you what ive been led to beleive, obd0 is the original stone age wiring system without the system check light in the dash and diagnotics plug under the dash, obd0 uses low impedance resistor injectors that require a resister box, obd1 and obd2 are similar but have different pinning. they all have different ecu's, they all have their own distributors and injectors, etc hope i have been some help??!!
