Default Thinking of buying a Prelude

We are currently about to move to Sanibel Island FLA and I get the chance to purchase a new car. I was thinking of buying a Prelude. I have around 10k to spend and wanted to know what I could get for the $$. I know I have to shop around, but I would like to know if there is anything to know before buying a Prelude. How easy/hard are they to mod? This is probably a stupid question to ask, but how satisfied are you with your car? Thanks

Prices vary depending on so many factors of course. I doubt you can get a 5th generation (the last generation) Prelude in that price range, so just make sure you find a Prelude VTEC in good condition with a 5 speed (All US 4th generation Prelude VTECs came with 5 speed manuals, the 5th generations are all VTEC, but had the "Sport Shift" slush box option. The H22 VTEC engine is a must-have, and there is plenty of aftermarket support out there.

My love my Prelude . Its clean, girls love it, and its fast. You may be able to get a 5th Gen for around that price, but just depends on where you look.

I'm very happy with my 93 prelude VTEC. I paid $11,000 for mine but it had under 40,000 miles and it was absolutely mint. I wish that the H22a1 could rev up to 8600 like the B18c1, but the way that VTEC kicks in on the H22a1 it's worth the slightly lower redline.
