Default 93 dx not starting, need help asap!

93 dx not starting, need help asap!

Guys I'm going to write down details about what happened to me.

Car sometimes was idling bad at stop, sometimes it would shut uff and wont start until you wait a couple of seconds and then it starts, today it died on the way home and didnt start anymore, got it to my house, I was getting a little bit of spark to the spark plugs, opened the distributor and I saw the rotor was missing the screw, screw was lose inside the distributor, BINGO! Well, I went to autozone with a friend who has a life time warranty on a distributor he bought for this 95 civic ex, we got the same distributor for my car, and the rotor too on autozone, car wont start up after all, I'm planning on changing the distributor cap and see what happens.

- Could the 95 civic ex distributor be causing the car not to start up now? Maybe they are not compatible.

- Maybe the new rotor is incompatible
- Maybe the problems want the distrubotor besides what I found ( the screw lose )

Need help guys, this car needs to be up and running tomorrow first time.

Backtrace? Any spark? Power properly hooked up to the new dist? wiring getting power (sometimes old wires melt/burn thru.. especially if uve added a blaster coil or something)? General suggestions, im no expert.

he means se if you are getting a spark with the new rotor. if you were getting spark before it wouldn't stop gettting spark becuase you only changed the rotor. so if you have spark then you have to look on to the fuel system. that is where i think your problem is. if you can see what the fuel pressure is. if not then just crank it a few times and then take a spark plug out right after and smell them they should be alittle wet and smelling like gas alot. so if you have fuel and spark get back to me. it could be a sensor, but i don't hink so. oh yeah any check engine lights

no check engines lights, as i said the screw that holds the rotor to the distributor itself was lose inside the distributor, it broke a couple of things there, I got this brand new 95 ex distributor and rotor, and nothing yet! It must be the cap I guess, How do I check if the rotor cap is not working?

like i said make sure you aren't getting spark from the plugs right now, if you aren't look in to a cap rotor or ignitor. all the wires still intacked inside. get back to me if no spark

You put on a EX dizzy on a DX motor. hmm theres your problem they are not compatable. infact how did you make it fit? the #1 cyl is off.. so your gonna either have a bad idle or no start conditions.

I know because I did this when I tried to see if my dizzy on my D16Z6 went bad and it didnt even come close to fitting where it should on the D15
