Troubleshoot: Noises coming from the rear after putting new rims on
I recently just picked up a set of 16's itr wheels and put them on today with azenis sizes 215/45/16. Now I've looked around the board and learned that you do not need spacers for these rims to fit since they will work perfectly fine. After putting them on today, I started to hear metal noises from the rear section. Now my first impression is that it would make noises while it was running or hitting a bump, but it didn't. The noise only seems to appear when I make a quick turn or turn period. Any ideas? i checked the exhaust and tried to move it, but everything seems ok, yet still i hear the noise, sounds like something is hitting something down there. I'll take it to the shop tomorrow since i don't have a lift or a jack at the moment, but any suggestions on what i should be looking at? thanks in advance.
p.s. the tires clear perfectly fine.

You torque them down right?

However, I haven't had a real chance to inspect it yet.

if your referring to the wheels? or the lca.. the lca's weren't touched just put on the wheels, i didn't even hit a pot hole.. it just started to make that metal noise. Sounds like my exhaust pipe is hitting somethign but everything looks fine. Takn it to the shop tomorrow to get it checked out. Its fine when i drive str8 n sometimes doesn't make a noise when i turn slowly.
Likn the rims on there but not enjoying the ride ~paul who fears the wheels might pop out

Too bad you don't have a jack. I would take the wheels off and put them back on again myself. Make sure the lugs are tightened in the criss-cross pattern and torqued to spec. If not, funny things could happen.

And I would check the brake pads while you're taking the wheels off. You didn't describe the noise (other than noting that it's a "metal noise") but it's possible your brake pads are worn and the squeaker tab is contacting the rotor, and just started doing so.

thanks for all the input guys, we finally figured out what was wrong with it.. i jacked up the wheel and checked everything, everything looked good. Then did wai's suggestion of spinning the wheel, then voila.. noticed that the wheel wasn't spinning all the way.. checked under and found out that the place that refinished my wheels added weights on the inner lip causing it to hit a part of my upper control arm(i'm not sure what its called), so got that taken care off and rebalanced the wheel. Everything is dandy at the moment
thanks again for the help gotta love chicago luv (n who says we all don't get along)
