Default h22a tiptronic shift 6th generation?

I just got a customer in at my shop, now we've done tons of manual swaps, automatic swaps, all sorts of things... guy comes in and has money ready for deposit on a h22a swap for his 6th gen...

The guy is asking about getting that wacky dafffy tiptronic shift into his 6th gen? Is such a swap possible? Ive dont automatic h22a engines into 6th gens. but a tiptronic?

I'm having difficulty figure out this swap and if there is any parts that would be needed... also does the tiptronic have the same tranny as the auto?

Headcase customer here!... Please help out... my shop is desperate to get more swaps in, but i was wondering whats this gonna have to take?

Tell him stick with 5spd or go home. Doesn't the auto BB6s have that sport shift thing? Is that what the guy wants?

Yeah something like that? BB6 is the tiptronic model thingy.

Sigh... Well will try to talk to him tommorrow...

But what I'd really want to know is the shifter layout for such a setup. Curiousity kileld the cat...

If the guy wants to sport shift thingy, you would need the auto trans from the BB6, ECU, & the shifter assembly for sure. I'm not sure what else you need.

Did some research... looks a little difficult... but shouldnt be too much of problem... Not too much different from a Manual Swap... now find that ECU... sheesh.

Dont put the sport shift (ss) trani in it. I also have a 97 lude with a SS trani, and ss sucks. They go out all the time there extremely weak. My car has about 40k second owner (only put about 2k and have been extremely easy on it) on it and the first owner was old people (the trani all ready going out). The ss tranis dont take well to mods very well and they really cant handel super chargers or turbos. Tell him that he wants a 5speed. Also the ss trani will be really slow, it would be extremely stupid to swap it in and if he plans on moding or racing it that trani will go hella quick.

If the guy wants to pay for it, it's his problem. sightless is trying to make money.

With as much money he is spending with everything, he should just get a base RSX already.
