Yes, you most definately do. I don't think it will be the exact same, but BauleyCivic has a good writeup on this in an EG. I have a tranny removal writeup as well.

Tranny will lock up eventually. Worse case scenario is that it can get thrown all over the tranny and destroy other gears.

Do you guys happen to know if b18 and b16 isb's are the same? Mine is trashed, along with my reverse , so I was gonna knock it all out this weekend. I have a spare reverse and isb from a gsr tranny and was wondering if I could put it in my b16 tranny. Thanks.

damn dave that sux...i had that same prob in my 4dr. i drove on it for at least 2.5yrs without a problem, other than the annoying whirling noise in 1st gear. after that you didnt really hear it much. as they said tho, u do have to take out the tranny unfortunately, which is why i just let mine go. never had a prob other than noise...

ya thats the best thing to do with it dave. just wait until you drop motor out for some upgrades or something. if it aint broke for now, dont fix it...haha!!! my new ride is cool tho, i think i just found a LS for the turbo kit i got. its lowered right now awaiting the front lip and exhaust and motor. later
