Quick Input Shaft Bearing question
i have an h22 in an eg, and it apperas that from the symptoms, my isb is bad..do i have to remove the tranny to do this, god i hope not, let me know
Yes, you most definately do. I don't think it will be the exact same, but BauleyCivic has a good writeup on this in an EG. I have a tranny removal writeup as well.
Do you guys happen to know if b18 and b16 isb's are the same? Mine is trashed, along with my reverse
, so I was gonna knock it all out this weekend. I have a spare reverse and isb from a gsr tranny and was wondering if I could put it in my b16 tranny. Thanks.

damn dave that sux...i had that same prob in my 4dr. i drove on it for at least 2.5yrs without a problem, other than the annoying whirling noise in 1st gear. after that you didnt really hear it much. as they said tho, u do have to take out the tranny unfortunately, which is why i just let mine go. never had a prob other than noise...
