apexi ws VS tanabe hyperM (exhaust)
which one has an advantage over the other in what areas?
they r both the same diameter in piping
i hear the tanabe is straighter and the apexi is more for midrange power
they both have the same style muffler

i love my apexi ws. it's quiet and very good quality. i think the tanabe hyper is also quiet, probably not so much as the apexi ws. the tanabe is full SS i think too, but costs more also. i don't like the straight tip of the tanabe and prefer the angle cut of the apexi ws.
yes the Tanabe is SS
and i would not really say it is quiet but more that it is subtle. On mine, mind you it is a V6, it has a nice tone and when I go WOT it gets pretty loud but it is not a bad thing. It stays nice and deep even when it is WOT.

apexi advertised their ws with the fact that it has more midrange torque
does midrange torque= more back pressure= more restrictive = more torque?
i know tanabe says their hyper medallion is straighter and more free flowing, but how straight is the World sport ?

it's a tad louder than stock, similar to that of a stock sports car tone would be. it will not drone and give you a headache, that's why i got this exhaust.

the muffler itself is a tad more restrictive not the piping, but that restriction gets you the lower sound and better torque. i run this with an H22 and made 182whp and 150lbft/trq on the dyno with just bolt-ons and apexi vafc, those are damn good numbers, don't worry about the power get the one that's going to be at the sound level and look that you want.

does anyone know about the air flow in ws compared to the hyper ?
does anyone know about the air flow in ws compared to the hyper ?
it's not chambered, there is a baffle in it. check out apexi's japan site that's where i found a cut-away of the muffler design. a chambered muffler is what flowmaster mufflers are, check out their site for a cut-away view.
would u say that the ws gives more backpressure than the hypermedallion
ws= more midrange torque = more back pressure = less straight?
hyper = more straight = less midrange torque = less backpressure?
ws= more midrange torque = more back pressure = less straight?
hyper = more straight = less midrange torque = less backpressure?
it's actually not backpressure, that is bad. it's exhaust flow velocity. the apexi ws has higher velocity at lower rpms giving you better trq whereas the tanabe has lower velocity at low rpms. the lower velocity is better for high rpms power.
honestly, your talking 1hp on the top end maybe. your over analyzing this to death. the key is unless this is a race car where do you spend most of your driving..in the midrange for most..get the exhaust that fits your driving.

the thermal r&d classic is perfect for a sleeper look because of the fact it looks like a stock ex muffler and also it doesnt drone on the highway, has a perfect deep tone at all rpms, you can feel the difference about 2500 and up... and its SS. what more can you ask for? if you ask anyone, they will tell you it is prolly one of the best, if not THE best exhaust for the accord. i LOVE mine, can you tell
get a greedy evo
that the best sounding exhasut for a accord or any car
up to u on what u want
i got a apexi n1 and its to ******* loud but that **** helps on the high end power

No, it's not. Not even close to be a best sounding exhaust.
Neither WS or HyperMed is good if you turbo'ing your accord
