LS head cam lift clearance issue questions....head experts needed
i am looking to get a new set of cams for my LS build and there is a guy that has a set of cams the cams are made by Crower and he claims that the cams have specs of
int 254 / 503
exh 250 / 503
he said that they have a distinguishable difference between the 404's in size
from my understanding the LS head the maximum lift possible is .502"
would this mean that i would have to get longer valves and have my spring seat machined down in order to clear the cam lobes
i emailed crower and they gave me specs of 254/460 and 250/460 which is a good bit larger than 404's but a might smaller than 405's
i know with .460" lift i will have a hard time with idle but it can be done
but with .503" lift it will be impossible to street these
let me know what you guys think
