90 Honda Accord Baffeling Problem!
I have a 90 Accord as mentioned above and it has problems starting when it been sitting in the sun heating up from a cold start. The starter just keeps cranking over and over. It has 140,000 miles on it and I have replaced the fuel filter, distributor, distributor cap, spark plugs, coil, and engine seals recently. Anyone ever expierence this problem? I can't think of anything else. Thanks for any responses in advance.
getyup,
Your main relay is bad. This is a very common problem on the early to mid '90's
Hondas.
The main relay is located way up under the dash on the left side. You will need a flashlight to see it. If you have cruise control, you'll need to remove the cruise control module ( a silver box about 6" X 8") so you can see the main relay.
It is a rectangular brown (sometimes grey, but not usually) box about 2" X 3".
The bottom is black, and there are about seven wires connected to it.
If you are electrically inclined, you can repair it yourself. If not, it might be easier to just buy a new one. Should be around 50 bucks.
