95 Honda Civic surging please help!!!

Default 95 Honda Civic surging please help!!!

Ok here is the story i have a 95 Honda Civic ex coupe that i am trying to sell and it surges at idle. I have changed almost everything, map sensor, air idle control, and oxygen sensor, intake gasket, throttle body gasket, and the thing still surges, I just want to fix it so i can sell it please help. I am all out of ideas.

If you are interested in the car here is what it is 1995 Honda Civic EX coupe 1.6 liter VTEC Power windows, power locks, power moon roof, cruise, tilt, A/C,4 wheel ABS, dual air bags 125,xxx miles, full 2-½ inch exhaust with high flow cat, high flow resonator, with dual outlet muffler, center force dual friction clutch, new brake pads and rotors on the front new brake pads on rear, new half shafts, 16 inch kosai racing wheels, also have stock wheels and hubcaps with decent tires, Wings West body kit just paid $870 for it , clear tails and corners also have stock ones to, cold air induction, pioneer cd player, Memphis 6-½ in the rear, wired for amp and subs, The car is white and the body kit is unpainted black but will get painted for extra $500, $6,000 or best offer

does it only surge when its cold or when its warmed up too?, did u check the fitv?

It does it all the time. FITV? sorry i am not very honda literate.

check your coolant...

It's probobly low in the radiator... honda's do that.

I had a friend who had a 95 civic that surged. It was this little gasket on the underside of the throttle body. Another had a leak on the skinny hose on the fuel pressure regulator. Sometimes people use colored silocone hoses and they are to big causing a leak.

fitv= fast idle thermo valve.
it's located under the tb.
after few it tend to unscrew itself due to heat. there is a thread how to remove it and clean it just do a search for fitv.

While your working in the area you may as well clean the IACV too... (idle air control valve)

did you bleed you radiator??? sounds like there is air in the lines

I would like to thank you all i switched out the fitv and she idles perfect now. I am new to the site thanks for the info and help.

while your back there go ahead and clean out the IAC motor also commonly forgot thing to do.
