Default japanese B-20B... Redline?

i have a japanese b20b (146 hp)

i have allways thought that from factory it revs to 6200 and stops making power at 5800, which is confirmed on the USDM b20, but i recently heard that the jdm b20b revs to 7200 rpms and stops making power at like 6800. which is acurate

My B20B redlines at like 7200 RPM's. It makes power all the way through. It is also running with a LS ECU. So maybe it has more potential??? Also heard with the vtec head it will run to like 8k????? Not really sure of this....

junkyard racer,

just because the ecu you have lets you rev to a higher rpm doesn't mean that the motor is happy about it.

ack the the b20b's suck.. 8.8:1 cr, my b20z runs 9.6:1 im also running a p75 obd1 ecu, my revlimiter is 6800 and it makes power all the way up to it and past it if i had a higher one.
