Default skunk2 intake manifold installed

I drive a 98 civic ex. i installed my skunk2 intake manifold today. it seems like my lowend has become a bit sluggish. i will say i did reuse the gasket for the TB and the manifold ( i know, so dont say it, but they both were in fair condition). also, i cracked the plastic housing on the knock sensor but it looked like it was alright. ive driven and no check engine light. also on the right side of the manifold is a hole that looks like for a sensor but i couldn't figure out what it was for. thanks for the help guys.

it seems like it has improved a bit, as well as the mid range. but i didnt think my lowend would suffer. maybe its just me, after all, this is the butt dyno so i could just be misjudging.

that hole is the IAT sensor and it originally sits on the back of the GSR manifold i believe.... you arent getting any CEL's?

After my bro installed his skunk 2 intake manifold on his gsr he told me he felt like his lower rpms were slugish. When he got it dynoed he lost low end torque. It pulls really good up top though.

That's what I was thinking too, but that would mean he has a serious vacuum leak if that's the case. The IAT sensor sit's inside of the runner meaning that if it's not there then you have a big hole in your runner...

I can also vouch for that. On my B18C with stock ECU, the skunk2 manifold probably hurt more than it helped down low, but uptop was fantastic. After Hondata tuning, it was great everywhere

im not gettin any cels. the manifold is for d series motors so i dont know why there would be a hole originally meant for a gsr manifold? i plugged the hole with a screw but it doesnt fit perfect. anyone got any ideas on what i can use to fill the hole? if i dont fill it i've just got this 1/4 " hole in the side of the runner. i drove it this morning and it didnt feel sluggish at all, but then i came home from work and took a shower, went back out there and it was feelin sluggish again. i dunno its weird. one time i was drivin it, it would stutter a bit every now and then when in a high gear at low rpm but then another time it didnt do it all. thanks for the help so far guys.

i just ran the throttle cable over the top of the manifold because i used the throttle bracket off my EX throttle body so it comes over the top like on a civic instead of under like a GSR.

That hole I was referring to is not just GSR manifold specific. It is for your IAT. The same IAT every honda motor has. That's why I thought it might be for that. But, I think that EKs have the IAT sensor in their intake arm, correct? Is the hole you are referring to just a threaded hole or does it actually go to the inside of the manifold? If it is a threaded hole it is probably for bolting something to the manifold, like the Fuel Return Hose/Power Steering Line bracket, or something like that.

barto just use a gsr throttle cable with the bracket.
you'll understand when you do.

that hole is for a iat sensor off a obd1 and before d-series motor.
obd2 d series have the iat sensor in the intake arm.

just get a iat sensor off a teg, or any 95 and before civic.
its either gonna be white or black. it bolts in with 2 philips screws.

here's a question on this manifold. Can i put my y7 TB on it without porting it, if not what other TB can i resort to, being that it has the IACV on the TB.

you can put any TB on, but the ports wont be matched and you will hear a whistle at low rpms when you step on the gas, because the air is going form a smaller to bigger hole.
