Is 9,000 a good price for a Eg hatch with a full JDM ITR swap ?

 

Aftermarket parts do not add to the value of a car unless the buyer is a dumbass.

 

He is building me one - a shop is

 

What else is done to it?

thats up there.....you can find a nice hatch for 3000 and most itr swaps you can find for 4-4500...but its your money

 

You can get the full ITR swap for right around 4000 and you can get an eg for 2500-less. I paid 2 for my 94 cx with 120 on the dash in mint shape. I wouldn't do it.

 

yea cool thanks guys. The guy that is selling it to me is Pop at all version great guy but i know its a little expensive. He is also selling a 92 red eg with liek 120k for 2500 you think i could talk him down?

 

9000 is way too much. you could probly get a Ek with a type r swap for the same price or a little cheaper. But if your gettin it built I guess you really want it.

 

i dont like Ek's i have one i wnat to shoot myself

but i like the 95 coupes they weigh the same as the hatches anyways so i think i want that

 

I would pay that if it was in near mint, if it is a not an si I would def. talk him down if it has damages

 

i dont know i guess i need more people to encourage me to get a hatch they just arent my thing i guess i dont know i would like to know what everyone runs witht the type r

not according to blue book but in the real world they do! if your reasoning stands why do race cars cost 45k to buy complete (hot rod cars) they should cost 3k the price of a stock Cx hatch right? WRONG i don't car what you say about not adding value not to the general public NO it dosn't but to an enthusiest minded person who wants to have fun with the car they pay the fair market value of the car AND the parts that are included.

that having been said NO 9k is too much for a hatch w/ a R in it, i would say around 7-8 for it as long as the car is CLEAN! w/ low miles.

 

Take a modded car to a dealer and ask them if they will give you more with the parts on it of off it.

EDIT: Also, the reason why race cars go for so much is because they were built by profesionals and normaly they are no longer street legal, which means that it is no longer the same car.

well, since you said it was being built for you, and if the builder is reputable i would say $7000 is fair.

 

If you take a car like that to a dealer, you deserve whatever rapage comes out of it.

Kelly Blue Book is NOT the end all measurement of car value. When I bought my 'project' 95 DX, book was 3300... I got it for 750 and it was running/clean (theft recovery missing some of the interior).... and he was happy to get it.

All I'm saying is a car is worth whatever you can/can't get out of it One thing I have learned from selling many different items over the years is: you can sell ice to eskimos.

buy ur own eg and do ur own project. much better and u know everything bout ur car instead of buying an unknown car and there could be any problem to it.

 

Pops at all version is a great guy. All of their eg's run in the 13's. Their eg took 1st in the street performance class at BOI here in Fl last month. 9k is way to much but double check and see if he is gonna put any other parts on it for you.

exactly. it may not be worth more, but people will
pay more. anyone who says aftermarket parts dosnt
add to the value is just being **** and repeating what
they some where. A hatch with an ITR swap is going to
sell more then a hatch with out it, so it obviously does
add to the value. Some peoples arguments are just
week these days.

The statement "Aftermarket parts do not add to the value of your vehicle."
means that it dosnt add to the value of your vehicle if your selling to
the general public. But the general public dosnt wat a 1995 honda
civic in the first place. These cars are just econo shitboxes to most of
the general public. But to a person who loves hondas, they are priceless.
