Replacing sheet metal on crx
Im doing a restoration.
And im almost done the bodywork, i yanked the windshiled the other day and along the bottom there on the body its all rotten.
I was wondering if honda or any aftermarket company makes that whole piece. Like the piece that covers the wiper motors, wiper arm, and it wraps around the top of the firewall (has the VIN number in it) then it goes partway inside the cabin
I was told welding patches in where the rust was would be half ***, and the whole piece should be replaced if i want to get 5+ years out of the resto because that spot sees alot of water.
Anybody know of a company that sells these pieces? I dont mind paying.

I dont know someone who would be parting their car would want to drill out all the spot welds, theres atleast 60 or 70.
Ill call honda, honda will probably want alot though.
I just wasnt sure because thats where the VIN number is.

I was thinking of welding in galvanized patches, because its not the whole thing just a few spots.
I was told by my dads buddy who is a retired bodyman that the best thing to do is replace it because that spot sees alot of moisture and it will rot out again.
