Default $3600 installed for a Drag kit on stock 01 DC2 GSR?

A local shop in my area, name is Garage Kwai in the Chicagoland area is willing to do the Drag kit installed for $3600. Keep in mind it is only to install what comes with the kit and the kit is new not used. Is this a good price?

Thanks!

I would just do it yourself and save some cash. There will come a time when you will have to take it off rather it be your turbo or something else small. Do it yourself, get some knowledge and save some cash.

Well the average install cost around $500-700 depending on the shop.
Drag kits these days I think are selling for around$2,800, so I'd say it's about averge, maybe a little high, but I guess tax would be a nice chunk of change.
Do you not have the tools/means to do it yourself. Why not ask him to give you a breakdown of the actual it cost, and the install, then compare it with prices you find by searching and then make a decision.

Cheapest route would be to get the kit from a honda-tech sponsor, then install yourself, and youd spend under 3k . Talk to ben @ importparts, hes always doing specials on the Drag Kits.

I dont have any engine work installation experience. I installed my coilovers and intake but thats a different story. I just dont want my **** to break, want it to be a reliable setup ya know! I just called for a price quote so havent tried haggling yet!

Is there anything else that I need to boost reliably that the kit does not provide. I am still researching but its becoming difficult with the mass amount of info & opinions out there.

Buy a kit and come install with me. I am buyinging/shopping for all the parts to my set up now. I am hoping to install by June, but July is more realistic.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't take my car there.
Save some cash and do it yourself it's really not that hard. If you can turn a few wrenches then you can install a turbo kit. It's really easy trust me.

I agree in that you should install/learn things yourself... adding turbo may be easy, but keeping the motor from blowing is not so easy. weather you or someone else installs it, your gonna have to work on it sooner or later.

I found (the hard way) that if your looking to just buy a kit to have a turbo'd car, and want it relaible your MUCH better off just selling your car and getting a stock turbo car. if you plan to make your na car turbo'd, then plan on making it your hobby.
