Default the 200whp test... can it be done?

Just wanted to start this thread off by saying ive learned a TON of **** from Honda-tech over the past year and half, built my first motor myself, installed it myself (with some help from a few friends) and its running beautifully. During my time here, ive seen ALOT of bullshit posted that everyone takes as the gospel. Compression this, cams too big/small this, that header sucks, bigger throttle body, yada yada. So i decided set a goal for myself that alot of "experts" have said couldnt be done, and achieve it. Im looking for 200 whp on an LS/Vtec w/ stock LS bore, no milling of the head, and....OEM CAMS....

Heres the setup
b18a1 block
USDM ITR Pistons
AEM CAI
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
b18c1 head - unmilled- no port- no polish
CTR Cams
RC eng. 310cc injectors
ericks racing FPR
Walbro 255 lph
VAFC

Tuning will be done by Shawn at church automotive testing, im pretty sure most of you are familiar with him. The only thing im probably going to change before the dyno is the header, some other 4-1 thats not horribly dented on the bottom will probably make more power.

Well, let me know what you guys think!

It will be close.

Hondata or the like along with a mild port and polish along with a killer valve job and you could make a more solid run and the mark you have set for yourself.

no where near 200 whp
that setup is basically an itr with bolt ons and 11.0 cr. the crank will bump cr .2 and the gsr head will bump it another .2 making 11.0
so an itr make about 165 whp
+.4 cr = 4 hp
bolt ons 5-10 hp
tuning 5hp
i say that set up will make about 170-180whp

theres no way in hell thats going to make 200 whp. the motor is not even built. no porting no big cams cr is not really that high.
like i said that motor is bacically an itr with .4 more compression
your much better off with some pr3 pistons

I already made my reply as you can see if you read the post.

I would post my success stories leading me to believe that it is capable but 90% you guys wouldn't believe it anyway so I am not going to waste my time.

im almost positive even tuned that set up wouldnt reach 200whp.

i would think with out head work, it couldnt be done. I might be wrong though.

I had a ls-vtec with jdm itr pistons with gsr head no pnp no mill with itr cams and skunk2 brain that made a whopping 193 to the wheels...just with 4into1 jdm headers and a vafc...that was pretty amazing considering it was pretty much a shitty set-up...but good luck on ur goals!

its still a guessing post. does it matter if it makes 200whp? All that matters is its strong, great running, reliable and makes you happy in whatever venue you use it for. its still a post to see if your at a 200whp mark. i know how you can find out? a dyno machine
