Default clutch break in period?

Do you have to break in your clutch? And how would you do it?

here is what i did. very easy on the clutch, no dropping it or anything. for the first 75 miles i ddidnt shift above 2500, didnt take it above 4 grand for lilke 200 miles, 6 grand for like 400 miles. i just took it easy and didnt do any burnouts/launches/hard shifts for about the first 400-500 miles. this was about 12,000 miles ago, and its holding up fine

what happens with incorrect breakin? will it just wear out the clutch faster, or will it actually break?

yeah i did a search a week ago or so when i got my clutch in and i couldnt find anything on clutch break in. i guess its just the luck of the draw. im sure my clutch is not going to last that long i didnt mind the "brake in rule" to well. only have like 400 miles on it done one big *** burn out and a few 3rd gear drops on the freeway. but i must say i was doing good for the first 250-300 miles. its hard to keep yourself from driving hard when you havent driven your car for a month or so and it just feels like it wants to go so bad.

from what i understand, it lessens the life of the clutch disk.
