Installing stock suspension
Is there any way to install stock suspension without the use of a spring compresor?
I have been looking for a spring compressor to rent at many local stores and none has it in stock. I was trying to find out if it would be possible to set the top mount and spring/shock assembly in place, bolt down the bottom, and lower the car down so the spring compresses, and then bolt on the top mount.
Is this possible, i know it is ghetto, but i need to re install my stock suspension asap.

I doubt this is possible. I'm almost 100% sure the stock springs are so long that even with the car jacked up and the suspension totally extended, the springs are still too long to even fit it in the area of where it's supposed to be.
Even if you did, the weight of the car going down on such a hard spring definitely won't go down smoothly. The shock shaft definitely won't stay straight and it'll probably move to the side, and I doubt you can get your hands in there (or even have enough strength) to straighten it to guide it thru the top hole in the engine bay.
You might be able to do it with the rears though being the springs back there are smaller, but I'm not sure.

There are ways to do it without a spring compressor. Let me go ahead and tell you that it is VERY DANGEROUS. You can wrap the suspension unit in a very heavy blanket and unscrew the top nut n cover it when you're almost to the last thread on the nut. I've been told you can do it between tires. I myself used a cheapass spring compressor, and on the first one i did i guess i did not go tight enough and the nut n stuff popped out really hard. Good thing i wrapped it in a huge blanket for insurance. lol

Obviously there are ways to REMOVE/DISASSEMBLE the assembly without a compressor.
Read his post again. He wants to know how to INSTALL them.
