Deciding between these two cd/mp3 players:

Kenwood KDC-X879


and

Pioneer DEH-P960MP


Spec wise the pioneer is a better HU. But it is also a little more costly. Im just curious if anyone can vouch for either of these head units before i drop some cash! thanks

i am installer and i only use pioneer in my car, if you buy th ekenwood over that pioneer i'll have to reach through this comp and smack you. jk much love.....pioneer all the way.

 

yeah, ive been leaning towards the pioneer based on features alone.

the pioneer is worth the difference in cost because of some of its features. one of the features this HU has is called auto-eq, which using an included microphone sets a base-line eq for your car. it also has the option of putting small image or movies on it via cd-r and pioneer's software.

im just curious if anyone can vouch for the head unit before i drop some cash!

well i ordered the deh-p960mp, and received it last friday. i am not dissapointed at all! this head unit is truly bad ***. i would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone lookin for a HU in the $500 range
