Will an aftermarket Type R intake fit in an LS?

 

i'm pretty sure it'll work. depends on the intake tho.. the TB's line up. short rams will work. the CAI might not as it may be made for the more compact ITR ABS system

 

My buddy has a ITR AEM CAI on his GS... you have to chinch down the silicone coupler on to the GS throttle body. There are a couple areas where theCAI is tight... tight to the sparkplug wires on the distributor and it tight where it's vertical near the front, rubs somewhat on the A/C lines.

 

If its rubbing that exactly what I dont want. Reason for getting rid of my short ram is its rubbing all the rubber off my AC lines. I want to replace it with an intake that has a bracket to prevent it from doing that.

 

why? you will get no extra gain

 

take your a/c system out.. unless u absolutely need it

 

Shouldn't rub on anything. The AEM CAI (3'' Integra Type-R) comes with a mount that keeps the intake solid, it located right behind the coolant over flow bottle. I will sell you mine in the first week of June.
