DIY: License Plate Relocater (Pictures Included)
Alright, a lot of people don't like these but some people do... I have been asked by a few people how I did this and when i explained it to them, I just confused them. So I took some pictures and I hope it clarifies things.
All you really need are a few nuts and bolts and a aluminium angle bar like this:

Now to clarify things, there are 2 sides of this bar, lets call the top angle (the one you will mount to the bumper) side A and the other side (the one you will mount the license plate to) side B. First cut a piece of the bar to be 10 inches long.. Side B will remain this size... Next thing to do is measure out 4 inches on side A (if you want to mount the plate on the driver side of the bumper measure this 4 inches from the left side of your bracket, and if you want to mount it on the passenger side of your bumper measure from the right side of your bracket) that will be what you mount to the bumper. After you have measure, you need to cut off the other 6 inches of aluminium. I used a grinder to sort of make the edges smooth and not so rough. Now all you need to do is drill holes for the license plate and then two more for the mounting bolts. After drilling the holes in the bracket, drill the mounting holes in the bumper. Attach the bracket to the bumper by puttin bolts through the holes in the bracket and in the bumper and tightening. Then mount the plate to the bracket.
This is an upside-down shot of how I mounted mine to the bumper:

This is how I mounted the plate:

This is how it turned out:

Also, i'd just like to add that this whole thing cost me about $9, the bar was $9 and I just had nuts and bolts laying around... The smallest size bar I could find is in the picture and I already hacked off 10 inches, the bar is big enough to make 3 brackets and then a little extra too... I think mine is off to the right a little too far so im going to play with a new idea maybe later this week...

Yeah it does, it barely takes any time either... I used a hack saw, I tried a dremel but it just ate up bits like whoa...

i dont like front plates at all.. so this aloows the holes to be drilled under the bumper instead of through the front... so you can always take it off and have no holes ..
