Default should I go with an Accord? pls help guys . .

well I fear that as I've grown up over the years, I've started to want something a little nicer. As of now im riding around in a 92 DX hatch/ b18b with no pw, pl, and stripped out . . . the rides not that great but I mean its quick enough to make me happy with it. However, I've always like dhte 98-02 accords, they're clean, and the 3.0 Vtec's with leather are exactly what I'd like to have . . . . my question to you all and the HT community is, is there any hope of being relatively quick in a 3.0 Vtec automatic? I mean im not expecting 13's or anything , but being a 3.0, will some bolt on's make this thing pick up some? any comments/advice, etc would be appreciated . . . . . but PLEASE DONT post back saying "uh just stick with your hatch." This is regarding a V6 Accord only . . . . Thanks

the accord v6's respond to ur normal bolt ons VERY well. and i do believe there is a supercharger made for the v6 by jackson racing. but if you get all ur usual bolt ons i think it would be noticeably faster. specially if you bolted on a supercharger

the 6th V6s have weak trannies. They give out for no reason stock, when you start throwing in power adders, you might as well start counting weeks till it blows up.

If you are serious about making a fast 6th gen V6, you need to start budgeting in a built tranny. Comptech does make a supercharger for that generation accord. You can find more info on 6G V6s at v6p.net.

I should mention the 6G V6s are slowish all things considered. They run low 16s or so stock.

I know there is a write up in regards to swapping the auto tranny to a 6 speed tranny from a cl or tl . That would enable you to power the shiot out of that v6 accord and make it damn fast too

JRSC makes a unit for the 98-02 (I believe) accord V6 and boost is something like 6psi and made very decent power.

Since the accord has a bigger power plant bolt ons will net bigger gains. Exhaust, intake and headerS , will probably get you around 15-20 hp (versus the normal 5 ish ).

Good luck on the car and nice choice BTW....welcome to the accord forum
