weird creakin noice from rear..
iight this might sound dumb but i dunno, my 99 civic Si lowered wit skunk 2 coilovers and ingalls camber kits all around... the back of the car creaks real bad over big bumps, un-even roads, or even when the car is just shifting weight (corners) i never really noticed before but now i got my back seat out cause im about to get a cage put it. i checked strut bushings, all the bolts, and greased all the camber parts and so on. i can figure out what the hell is creaking, any info or advice would be great. thanx (oh and if it matters, i had a rear strut bar on before, but took it off for the cage install)
not really unless you find some rubber bushings to put in there. **** if you want a nice handeling suspension I would suggest to replace all your bushings with utherane ones. They make the car handle alot better!!!

damn i have this same EXACT problem on my 00 si. its lowered on skunk 2 coilovers too. i have no camber kit, and i still get the creaking noise. i dont think it has to do with the bushing to tell you the truth. did it make this noise with teh rear strut bar?

i think its the body twisting too...but i cant figure out what to do to fix it. i think i might get a rear strut bar, since you said you never noticed it when you had the strut bar. i know exactly what you're talking about cause mine did it ever since i lowered it

Hahaha me too...I have rear strut as well, still makes noise and I have checked everything before. If anyone could pinpoint the problem that would be great but I guess for now I will just continue to tune it out, or turn up my music

i would like to chime in and say i have a problem as well, i have stock suspension though, and it just started, i would classify it as a squeek rather than a creek...? it is damn annoying, come from the rear section, dunno what the hell it is!
any thoughts?

wow guys, didnt exspect this much feed back, lol, i thought i was the only one that had fucked up suspension, haha, if anyone can find a cure for the creaking squeeking we all got goin on here it would be greatly appreciated... ima throw my car on the lift tomorrow and go over everything possible, i'll post up and let you all kno what i find....thanx again
If they have cracks in the rubber replace them. After awhile the rubber can "crack" (break) all the way through over time since it is rubber.

For those of you who dont know what it looks like its on the biggest arm by the #30 bolt. It is right above it. They usually tear on the part that faces the wheels not the part that faces inward. It cracks (or in some cases breaks) on the lower half portion.

guys, i found the problem to the creek, squeek, or watever u wanna call it. i had my brother lay in the trunkof my car when i drove to pinpoint the problem. its the brace that connects the rear seatbelt mount to the strut mounting point, when the car flexes it makes that noise. we took off the bracket and the noice went away, so what we did was stick 2 pieces of dynomat inbetween the bracket and the mount and tightened the bolt and the noise was gone. well i hope i helped all of you guys out that have this problem, bad honda design i guess, but i still love em, lol
