Why do you need a tach? Dont you have one already? (from what i know for some reason all the civics that are auto came with a tach). Also its a auto, no real need to shift.

If you want you could search because theres 3 ways to do it:

1. off the distributer
2. off the plug behind the cluster
3. off the ecu

All of which are good places, just personal perference.

You need to find that blue wire as I said in the other one I locked down, and you need to find the power/ground for your cluster. I don't know much about wiring on an EG, so somebody else get him the power/ground color wires.

Okay, this is the LAST post in here before I lock this one down too.

Don't manually shift your auto tranny, it's bad for it.

If you need a tach, read the FAQ thread, on page 3 it shows where the tach lead is.

Everybody who's flaming him without helping, on you. He asked how to wire up a tach. Not wether he should have a tach or not. And you are correct, he did mispell VTEC in his username, but it's his username. If he wants to spell it XRSRH he can.

This is the thread showing the tach lead.
