I need a little help...
I just bought my prelude and I don't really know what to do to make it faster. I have already gotten a new stage III clutch and a new intake and a new DC header and new exhaust and I don't know if I should stop putting money into my car or save my money and swap a new engine in. It's a '92 2.3 with alot of miles. I am looking for any kind of feedback.

you could always go a stage up and get the vtec-other wise engine work if you have money and want major performace. If not, then go for bolt ons-cam geas, under drive pullies, reformated ecu, a cold air intake, eihter way there is alot of potential, but If I were you I'd get the vtec, cause theres a lot more potential. Hope this Helps, and Good luck!
You have several choices. But it boils down to the end result:
You're Si will need motor work sooner or later. How soon is it coming? Does it smoke andy? Make odd noises? Have you had a compression check run or leakdown test run to see the condition of the rings? I guess we could all make this complicated, but I'll try to keep it simple.
The H23A is not a bad motor, but it isn't the H22A1. I have a love hate relationship with the H22. I love to hate it.
If you are going to need to break into the inside of the motor eventually, then I'd save up and get an H22A1 swap (for around $2500 for everything) and drop it in. Grab a motor with lower mileage, and dump it in. that's what I would do.
Other people will suggest "pimp" out this motor. Cams, cam gears, some ECU work, pistons, rods etc etc. You're best bet would be turbo. Cause fast N/A is a pain in the ***.
tell you what, have someone run a compression check and leakdown test and then let us know what the numbers are. That'll give you a good idea of how long you ahve before you'll need rings etc.
