When we install remote starters, sometimes if the exact tach wire is inaccessible, we tap off one of the injector wires. each injector has a common color and one different from each other, grab the non-common color and see if it will power your tach. not sure if this will work for this application, but you can try it.

 

but doesnt the injectors pulse?
