Default help with z6 swap

Ok, first off, I did a swap but couldn't find anything to answer my question so...

I just put a jdm d16z6 in my 89 DX. Converted to mpfi, everything runs fine. The only problem is that I'm using my original distributor and since it doesn't bolt up right, I'm getting a small oil leak. I really don't want to convert to obd-0. Is there a distributor that I can use that will work correctly? If I remember correctly, I can't swap internals from the obd0 to obd1 dist., correct?

2nd question, anything strange about putting the y8 IM on? I thought I remembered something about vacuum lines not being right or something but now I can't find the thread.

Last question, Is there any reason that I couldn't use a v-afc to control vtec since I'm using a non-vtec ecu (PM7 if I remember correctly, been several days and a buddy got it and I never checked to see which he ended up with). I'm running on low cam right now and picking up the vafc tonight. Just want to make sure I'm not crazy. I can't figure out any reason why it would not work.

Thanks

you should just go all the way and convert to obd1 run a vtec ecu and use the z6 distributor. it will solve the oil leak and you can let the ecu do its job by controlling vtec and the fuel curves for vtec . a vafc would be nice to set when vtec comes on . just easier to do it that way in my opion .

I really just don't feel like rewiring it again and sourcing another ecu. I know it wouldn't be that long but I work about 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I could pay someone to do it but I'm one of those people that won't let someone touch my car if I'm not there.
