maybe your alternator regulator is going bad or your battery is getting old or maybe you need some more or better grounds...

It's gotta be something electrical. Check if possibly the motor's fan is kicking on and drawing alot of power? If not, turn off all power accessories and listen to the idle of the engine to see if it idles smoothely or not... That's probably about the best I can help ya with, but I'm certain someone here knows more than I do...

Well Idle could have a lot to do with the lights dimming. If the idle is low then what happens is the belt that goes around the alternator gear isn't spinning fast enough therefore not creating a strong enough electrical current to charge the battery. If your just going down the right with the pedal at a constent speed and they dim on and off, then its very very possible that its your alternator. I'd advise getting it rebuild or buy a new one. Rebuilding them is cheaper and are like brand new.

Alternator doesn't have to just die on you. Mine went bad over a span of 2 weeks. It was still charging but just barely. Go check it at a Schucks.
