Video captures from autocross and Jefferson
Well, I finally got off my *** and spent a few minutes throwing a crappy site together on my free tripod space (sorry in advance about the pop-ups...)
I haven't done a whole lot of content yet, but I have posted 3 links to videos I took this year.
1- my fastest run at the NASA autocross in august (thanks to Corey for riding with me beforehand and giving my some pointers)
2- my two timed laps at the time trial at jefferson
3- one and half lap with a black type R on Jefferson during the school. This one has really crappy resolution because I was trying to keep it as small as possible.
please save the files locally on your computers instead of trying to view them directly. Please let me know all the things I did wrong if you feel like rambling. I have already analyzed them to the best of my meager abilities, and i am sure I missed plenty of stuf fin there. So if you have some free time and a decent web connection, I'll appreciate any feed back.
oh yeah, and i will be trying in the future to improve on the content of that site, and maybe even post some useful information, if I have any. It could happen!

thanks

I watched the NASA autox video and I'll make a few small comments, if you like. Overall, I thought it was driven pretty well given that I can't feel the car...
Points where I think you could have made some time:
1) I always forget how much I like my LSD, you should get one.
2) You could have braked later in the last slalom before the turnaround. Gas on, gas off, brake hard. No middle ground. I was braking as I was passing the first cone in the slalom.
3) As I came out of the turnaround, I had my foot to the floor, except for a slight breathe to punch the tail around the one cone, until the braking zone at the other end of the lot. You should, too, I couldn't quite tell from the vid.
4) In the last gate of the second turnaround, you could have slowed down a bit more and taken the gate more behind you, it would have set up the last slalom better and you wouldn't have pushed so much making the first cone.
Other than that, good job.

yeah, a LSD would be nice. Maybe some day. I am really limiting my car upgrades for now. Next I get on a track, I'll have some safety items, and _maybe_ some R-compounds, if I have the money. I'd rather spend the money on my skillz. Yo.
I tried to brake later on my fun run afterwards, but I got too much speed in the slalom and I spun out before the last gate
Fun, but not very effective, huh?
I think I was not quite flooring it to minimize wheel spin (yup, yup, no LSD) coming out of the turnaround, but throttle application (smoothness) is something I am working on. I tend to chop/reapply as can be heard at the very end.
As far as slowing down more in the last turnaround. That is the one area I never got the whole day. I have not convinced myself to slow down enough for those damn things yet. Maybe some day I will learn!
Thanks for the feedback - that is very useful.

thank you, O cobra. I sure enjoyed it. Actually, the day was very well run altogether. I had a very good time there that day. Thank you again. Even though I still prefer track, it made me enjoy autocrossing. And want some more! You take some of the credit for that.
