Default Got the car, need some help.

Some of you may have read a week or so ago, that i acquired an 81 Accord. The only set back was that the owner did not have a key, because the car was left at the house that she was renting out. I now have the car at home and have been assesing the damage, and the body and engine does not LOOK in bad shape. I have been wanting to try to crank it to see what i can do with the engine, but not having a key presents a slight problem. I was wondering if anybody might have a wiring diagram for my car or can pm me any info possible. Thanks

Something isn't adding up....she is "selling" a car that is sitting in front of a house she is "renting" .

*sniffs around*

Fat joe close your legs...

Something is fishy

IMO if you buy this car DEFINITELY run a carfax and get it checked out.

i def agree though, carfax is your best friend when buying a car. You never know, it might have been in 10 thousand wrecks and been involved in millions of floods and just waiting to NEVER be a good car ever for yet another owner. good luck tho man

This car was GIVEN to me......there is no way, no matter what condition, that i would buy an 81 Accord......i was going to call Honda and get them to cut me a key using the VIN number, but i was told that their database wouldnt go back that far.......all i need is a wiring diagram or something about the ignition......if anyone knows of any sites or anything, that is all i am asking.

And about stealing it, if i were gonna steal a car.....it would definitely be something better than an 81 Accord, that is why i asked if anyone had any info, if they could pm it to me, instead of letting things like this out in the open.

I called the dealership today and they said that their records wont go back far enough to cut a key by using the VIN number.....they also said that they dont have any wiring diagrams for a car that old........my only options left are to see if any locksmith can cut me a key (which will be cost more than what i would like to pay) or to find out the wiring on this ignition and hook up a push button start for it.

I have the ignition out of the car, but i am not sure what wires to hook up to the toggle switch for the accesories and which ones to hook up to the push button for the starter.

ANYONE have any clue where i might can find ANY information??

Thanks

If you take the ignition switch to the lock smith it shouldn't be too exspensive.

Or just buy a complete ignition lock cylinder w/keys. your local pats store should be able to help you out.
