Hot street cam for the F22B1 Vtec:
How much of a problem is to find a hot Street camshaft for my F22B vetec and, would this be a simple deal, just remove the stock cam and inplant the moded cam ?. I have the feeling that this excise will be very much mor involved. Not quite as changing the cams on a standard engine !?.
Thanks.......... Mike

As far as I know changing a VTEC camshaft isn't any different from changing a regular camshaft, it's just got more lobes.
They're really not worth it, you won't get much horsepower unless you go with a more agressive cam profile, but with those you need to change your valve springs (and usually valves and retainers) to avoid valve float which can kill your engine. http://www.webcaminc.com http://www.gude.com
