Default symptoms? bad clutch?

on occasions i have trouble slipping into first. let me describe.

i depress the clutch pedal fully. i try to put the car into first, but it does go in. so i let go of the pedal, just slightly, and then the car will go into gear.

what is that?

is my clutch going bad? i dont' ride my clutch and have been careful not to abuse it.

any advice?

thanks,

kham.

i have the same problem with my 93 teg. i think its normal because theres a block on the tranny that prevent you to getting into first gear while moving. but it sometimes doesnt reset when ur at a stop. So i put in 2nd gear, then drop back in first gear.

its probably the syncros. doesnt mean theres something wrong... it just isnt connecting as smoothly as youre used to.

I noticed this when I first test drove a GSR. It seems they are more prone to that, but my LS does it too. Its nothing wrong. Just the way the tranny was designed. Either do it your way or when it doesnt want to, just leave the clutch down, go into 2nd, then back into first. That always seems to work.
