I only buy OEM Honda and Audi only...
Alternators get worn overtime, I bet you have a sound system that is putting stress on the alternator...

Not even close, that's why there's such a difference in price.

Autozone has a lifetime alternator,I would get that if you keep having to replace them.It could be your battery is bad and making your alternator work too hard to keep it charged.Have Autozone check it out to see if its your battery.Good Luck.

I went through 3 alternators a few years back w/ my old car, but I had a pretty big system in there. 70A rated alternators w/ 100+A of draw =
Other than big stereos, I don't know what could be causing this. Is any fluid leaking onto the alternator from anywhere?

</TD></TR></TABLE>of the guys are right about having a sound system in your car can deff cause that but i would also check for any draws in your wireing if your altenator is going bad like in 3 days that is prob the cause so go over the wireing and make sure that there is nothing that would make that altenator work any harder then it has too

yeah I got an aftermarket and the **** died two days later, the voltage on them seems low I am wondering if a bigger alternator would be the answer to my problems.
Reason being the alternator is working but not charging my battery fast enough for use (I DONT HAVE A SOUND SYSTEM) and then my batteries burn out. Luckily autozone replaced mine for free.

Most of the time, when alternators go out, it's the brushes that need to be replaced. The brushes are the metal conductors that are compressed against the spinning rod inside. Overtime these brushes wear out, causing the alternator unable to charge the battery. That is how you know you have a bad alternator... right? Anywho, that's what you should always replace before you go and buy a brand spankin new Autozone alternator. Save hella more money.

No problemo hombre`
Oh did I mention you are going to need a soldering gun? (nope I didn't)
You might be able to get away with using the old solder off of the old brushes, but I suggest you get soldering wires as well.
Good luck brotha.
