Car wont idle at all....
The other day I took out my Kenji ECU, and put in a stock P28 ecu so that I could go try to pass emissions. The car wouldnt idle at all, the guy had to do the emissions test twice, but I passed, which is cool since i'm untuned. I got back home, and put Kenji's ECU back in. Later that night I cranked the car up to go to a friends house, and the car would idle for about 3seconds then die. In order to stay alive at stoplights I have to keep my foot on the gas some and use the Ebrake to brake so that it doesnt die when im coasting up to a stoplight. I have tried resetting the ECU, and also adjusting the idle w/ the idle adjustment screw, it didnt help. My next thing to attempt is to lean it out w/ my FPR and/or adjust the throttle cable.
I'm stumped b/c im using the same ECU as before emissions, and it ran fine, and ever since I swapped ECU's it wont idle. Arghh.

did you disconnected the battery before you remove the ecu? when you reconnnect the ecu it needed to relearn itself, so whenever you start it back up. you need to let it idle with out any load for a few minutes like radio, lights...ect

I took out the ECU fuse for about 30seconds and put it back in , this reset the ECU. It still wont idle. I guess the car thinks im using the stock p28 still or something.
