Default moonroof/sunroof issues.... psssh....

hey would anyone happen to ever come across this problem.

Basically the moonroof opens sometimes, and not always.... weaksuace!
its hella ghetto. sometimes if i push the moonroof up it will open but thats only 60% of the time.

heres what i've tried, ive greased up the rails like a motha...and i even swapped out the motor.. the switch works, cuz it turns the motor forward or backward. and the fuse isnt blown..

ANY IDEAS???

I'm not a wizard on how moon/sunroofs work (mine doesn't even work) but I would assume since you replaced the motor, that you are gonna have to look at the thing more closely. You might have to pull out the headliner to get a nice look at the rails and moving parts etc..

mine did that too. believe me. REPLACE the switch. even if it works sometimes the switch might be going bad. Go buy a new one. Its the easiest thing to do next to find the problem. If its not the switch at least the picture on the switch will be new!!

i would put it on the switch. my buddys was the same way...then i pulled my switch out placed it in his car and it worked perfect.

there shouldn't be any wiring to do for the switch... you just plug and play.
