motor acting weird!

on the way home tonight my motor starting poping (backfiring) then turned off. when i tryed to start it just (poped)backfired motor wouldnt turn over . what is wrong?

its mis-firing, try checking your ignition system, somehting probably isnt sparking right

check the rotor in your distributor to make sure it's not loose or fell off
