Default auto/man convert....Just look

Ok i no this has been coverd 91823904812394081234's of times but i cant find the exact answer i need.

My car 96 LS

Ive installed pedals and clutch system. i got a gsr full swap from a freind with a busted tranny for 1300 but i got another tranny for 600. So my question is what do i need to do about the wiring. Im going to get a obd2-1 jumper harness. Do i need to do any extra wiring since my engine harness is setup for non vtec. And whats involed to get reverse lights to work and be able to remove the key???

You'll need to wire up the VTEC solenoid, pressure switch, knock sensor, secondary butterflies, and some other stuff if you plan on using the LS engine harness. The reverse light sensor is on top of the tranny. As far as removing the key, we didn't have any issues with it in an EG we swapped recently, but I'm not sure what exact wiring was involved.

just wondering, if you are getting a gsr swap and putting in a manual swap, why not just get a gsr? You can get an older one for a decent price.

well look at it this way. I bought my car for 1800 with full gsr interior. Im buying the full gsr swap for about 2000 so thats about 3800. So i think im getting a much better deal then buying a real gsr. but anyway. Is it possible to use the d series harness that the motor is coming out of since its already setup for gsr vtec components?
